Dear friends, neighbors, and fellow wine lovers,

After 30 years in the alcohol industry as a wholesaler and importer, my wife Laurel and I decided to open a wine and spirit location where wine can be tasted and consumed during our open hours. We have been fortunate to have visited thousands of restaurants and wine and package stores throughout the US and Europe. Our concept is a unique marriage of all the best we have encountered. A place where buying wine is as fun as drinking it. Sleek but not slick. The wine is so well laid out you can leave the “cheat sheet” at home.

Our store features a state of the art wine dispensing machine that allows customers to try new wines from around the world or enjoy their old favorites. The “Winestation” makes Wine & Spirit Warehouse a great place to hang out and sip.

Our intent is to create a user friendly, informal environment that helps customers see wine as a pleasure, not a challenge. The spirit of the store is decidedly next-generation.

In September of 2009, we will open the Stemper Wine & Spirit Learning Center. Classes will vary from Wine 101 — Grape varieties and wine regions of the world, to detailed classes about Bordeaux, Burgundy, Tuscany, Napa Valley, etc.

Stop in and try a wine from our “Little Black Dress” selection. Our display includes a little black dress donated by Academy Award winning actress and Arlington Heights native Marlee Matlin.

We invite you to shop and enjoy our selection of over 800 wines, 200 spirits and 100 beers.
